We are so much more than a physical body. Yet the physical body is our vessel, carrying us through life, housing our soul and spirit. It enables us to impart purpose and allows us to connect with our surroundings. A constant communicator between outer world and inner world.
What is within me that lets me see and experience the world in a certain way?
Our body holds information. Our Autonomic Nervous System is the main link between outer world and inner world. Accessing the information within that sets us up to how we see and experience the world around, is fascinating and from my experience a major link in healing and maintaining good health. Bringing this information into our consciousness, to be processed and integrated, allows us to be a little bit more whole. This process of individuation is a major key in how we lead our lives, effecting our individual wellbeing, relationships, family, physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
My background in physiotherapy has led me to embrace "Upledger Craniosacral Therapy/ Somato Emotional Release", which I have been practising for 20 years.
A world so discombobulated as right now, needs a little integration,
don't YOU?
Until you change your thinking you will always recycle your experiences
Why Craniosacral Therapy / Somato Emotional Release
Stress / Overwhelm /Need for downregulation of the Nervous System
When our Nervous System has lost the ability to adapt to the changes in the world around us in a healthy and smooth manner, Homeostasis is compromised, good health is compromised.
Meet yourself and how you relate
Meeting, processing and integrating past experiences and parts of yourself.
What lens am I seeing myself, the people and the world around me through? Is it serving me or am I just recycling the same experiences over and over?
Identifying what is ME and what is "the soup that I am swimming in" helps!
Birth
processing:
-
your own birth ( how has my own birth set me up for life? Arousal state of the NS and ability to adapt)
-
preparation to give birth
-
giving birth
-
attending a birth
Processing and Integration of medical intervention
Modern Medicine can save lives and do wonders it seems, yet the body may need to process and integrate the intervention.
Head Injuries
Finally high impact sports are starting to recognise that our heads house crucial "infrastructure" that, when injured, will lead to long term damage. Often referred to as unexplainable symptoms, trauma to the head from a car accident, horse accident, sport, you name it can linger, like a shadow in the background.
Teeth/ TMJ/ Bite/ Orthodontics
Your teeth and your bite are connected to the rest of the body and as such need to be able to "move" as part of the whole system. Dental/ orthodontic treatments may cause an interruption to the functional unit of your body, leading to symptoms such as Migraines and many more.
ADHD/ Spectrum disorders vs. PTSD
CST has its origin in the work with autistic children. What was defined as autistic in the 1970s was very different to today. Spectrum disorders are very different to PTSD and yet often times PTSD is diagnosed as ADHD. Addressing the memory held in the body from a life shaping event helps to process and integrate the event/ memory thereof, regaining control and healthy NS regulation

These are just examples of situations that might resonate with you. The primary goal is to identify why the Nervous System is not able to regulate between inner and outer world appropriately presenting with symptoms on a physical, mental, emotional and or spiritual level.
I will meet you in "the space between", where nothing is right and nothing is wrong, it just is.

The approach that Dr John Upledger coined "Craniosacral Therapy" originated in Osteopathy. From assuming cranial bones fuse after birth, then finding out they stay connected through sutures that allow for minute movement to understanding why these sutures are staying open, roughly a century went by.
Dr John Upledger followed the findings of Andrew Taylor Still - founder of Osteopathy - over 1.5 centuries ago. He was led by William G. Sutherland to researching the Craniosacral Rhythm (Pressurestat Model), which is now explained by new scientific findings,
(by Dr Thomas Rothkild Rasmussen).
What is Upledger Craniosacral Therapy?

Symptoms
(these are examples of symptoms that can be addressed with CST. It is by no means an exclusive list. We are all individuals and the symptoms we produce are representative of our individuality.)
When you have seen everyone and nothing has worked, CST could be an important piece in the puzzle to help other approaches to work.
